Job Overview

The role is to lead the golf course maintenance department, reporting to AGS's Management Team and Golf Club General Manager, delivering exceptional guest experience through the superb golf course condition.

This role would suit a high performing individual, with strong golf course agronomy background to uplift and maintain the best playing condition of the golf course and support other golf club activities related to the golf course and etc., whilst a sound understanding of golf course maintenance and agronomy would be a distinct advantage. 

​

A strong understanding of people and leadership, that will be seen as an inspiration by their colleagues, a motivator for pro shop team to achieve the best of the best and deliver a memorable experience.

​

This position requires the successful candidate to be fluent in both written and spoken Thai. The business level of communication English language would be a distinct advantage.

Job Description​​

• Lead the golf course maintenance team in day to day operations and develop golf course maintenance programme to deliver consistently superb playing condition 

• Provides strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.

• Develop the budget for golf course maintenance department

• Reviews and evaluates golf course maintenance programme and working system

• Supervises team members and provides corresponding trainings

• Effectively manage golf course maintenance colleagues

• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments

Qualification and Competency

• Thai Nationality

• Bachelor degree in Agronomy major or related subjects

• A sound understanding of spoken English a distinct advantage

Experiences

• Working Experience in Management level at least 5-7 years and a successful track record as Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Golf Course Superintendent with knowledge in golf course irrigation, fertiliser and chemical, landscape, cultivation programmes, and machinery management

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Advance skills for Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
