Absolute Golf Services Co., Ltd is a leading provider of management and consultancy services to Golf and Sports Clubs in Asia. We are currently seeking for a highly skilled and motivated leader to join our growing team in Thailand.
Job Overview
As a business unit department head, the role is to oversee the management and further development of Golf Operations team, reporting to club's General Manager, to ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experience and continued financial success of the golf club.
This role would suit a high performing manager, with hospitality background to manage the golf club operations / bag drop / locker room / driving range / caddies / members and guest services & relations / golf tournaments / all golf club activities and etc., whilst a sound understanding of agronomy would be a distinct advantage.
A strong manager of people, that will be seen as an inspiration by their colleagues, a motivator for each department to achieve the best of the best and deliver a Wow experience.
This position requires the successful candidate to be fluent in both written and spoken and written in Thai and English language.
Job Description

Create, lead and manage overall of golf club operations / bag drop / locker room / driving range / caddies / members and guest services & relations / golf tournaments / all golf club activities and etc.and need to provide support to all operations

Ensure operations are running efficiently according to the company business development plans and objectives

To develop and implement the standard operating policies (SOP) within the golf operations department as approved by the General Manager. Whilst constantly reviewing these for providing updates as and when required to ensure standards constantly evolve from an experience perspective

Lead a weekly inter-department golf operations meeting, which is to be minuted for reference and follow-up

Driving the on-going creation of events and activities that continuously generate excitement and revenue

Develops and implement strategies that deliver product and services to meet the expectations of the target

Providing leadership and managing the golf team effectively and efficiently

Compliance with golf club rules and regulations

The training, guidance, and development of all colleagues in the department and encourage individual development

Manage departmental duty rosters to ensure departmental efficiency

Manage and control all golf operation department supplies to ensure quantities are maintained and re-orders are conducted in a timely manner, monthly inventories to be sent

Liaises daily with the Golf Course Maintenance team on the set-up of the course providing feedback to the Assistant Superintendent on areas of concern to ensure members and guests have an enjoyable golf experience

Engage with guests, both formally and informally to identify guest feedback and understand areas for guest experience improvement

Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs
Qualification and Competency

Thai Nationality
-
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experiences
-
5 years experience with a successful track record as golf management in a first-class golf facility / a leading club in Thailand

Poses a strong understanding of golf club / resort operations

Understanding of the customer service industry with the ability to use initiative and common sense when dealing with operational issues to both ensure guest satisfaction and protect the clubs name, reputation, and assets

Knowledge of the rules of golf and tournament organisation

Ability to play golf to a professional standard or at least hold a single-figure handicap

Computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and other prominent software
