Golf Club General Manager (Myanmar)

Absolute Golf Services Co., Ltd is a leading provider of management and consultancy services to Golf and Sports Clubs in Asia. We are currently seeking for a highly skilled and motivated leader to join our growing team in Myanmar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to Absolute Golf Services corporate office, the General Manager is responsible for managing the business delivery and of all departments and financial performance of the Golf Club located in Yangon, Myanmar. The General Manager will be charged with maximizing all aspects of efficiency; revenue generation; productivity, cost management and maintaining brand standards. The General Manager will coordinate a positive place to work delivering a superior guest experience ensuring quality, excellent operational standards and guest satisfaction.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Our People

  • Leading and developing the skills of the golf club team by coaching and regular feedback, whilst being a role model for business excellence  

  • Coordination of employee engagement activities

  • Conducting annual and mid-year performance reviews

  • Coaching and regular feedback sessions with all operating departments, both front and back of house, ensuring best practice delivery
     

Guest Experience

  • Develop, row and maintain membership loyalty. Ensure open communication and high visibility to members and guests through regular engagement.

  • Develop and row operating revenues.  Repeated above

  • Oversees the delivery of superior services to all members and guests ensuring the utmost quality and care is delivered

  • Coordinate and deliver member and guest activities and ensure the golf tournament and social calendar is well supported and coordinate open tournaments and new concept corporate days.

  • Develop, enhance and maintain superior levels of customer service and guest experience throughout the golf clubs operating s departments including but not limited to, golf operations, F&B, Agronomy  

  • Ensures service standards are met in all areas of the golf club

Responsible Business

  • Drives  the management of eco friendly schemes

  • Develop Burmese National hospitality  activities to develop the hospitality culture and grown the game of golf amongst Burmese nationals

 

Financial Returns

  • Proactive revenue management to maximize returns at the Golf Club

  • Develops and monitors the performance of the Golf Club  and develops financial and operational plans which support the overall objectives of the Golf Club and ensure brand loyalty

  • Ensures that product quality and service standards are met in all areas of the golf  club to maximize revenue generation

  • Drives the development and execution of sales and marketing plans to maximize revenue generation by anticipating and planning for market shifts

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years senior operations experience required working within an internationally renowned golf facility

  • Highly experienced in setting up operational departments accorss all aspects of a golf club operations

  • Pre-opening experience preferred and would be viewed as an advantage

  • Extensive knowledge of P&L’s and managing budgets

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; the ability to develop employees and foster a team environment

  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Direct Reports; Golf Operations Manager; Golf Professionals, Golf Services Team – All departments, finance, S&M, HR, F&B, Engineering, etc.
