AGS Recruited Industry Leading GM to be the Leader at the New Aquella Golf & Country Club, Phang Nga
Bangkok, Thailand (July 7, 2021) – Aquella Golf and Country Club in Phang Nga, Thailand is preparing for its preview play opening on August 1st, 2021. The 18-hole championship par-72 course extends over 7,000 yards in the heart of the Aquella complex. The Aquella development occupies 1.8 million square meters in a picturesque and secluded setting that stretches 2.5km alongside Thai Muang beach in Phang Nga. Inside the extensive project sits the Aquella Golf and Country Club, lavish pool villas, lagoon pier, beach club and a luxury resort hotel are under development and panning. As the management company of the golf and leisure complex, Absolute Golf Services (AGS) has recruited the golf industry leading General Manager, Simon Mees, who has over 25 years of experience in golf course management and pre-opening projects.
Originating from the home of golf, Scotland. Simon developed a love for the game as a youngster and has continued that love as he developed a career within the game, sharing his passion and vigor for the industry on a daily basis. With vast experience spanning three continents from Scotland, Middle East and Southeast Asia, Simon brings with him highly regarded management expertise in all facets of club and hospitality management, as a motivated & results orientated executive who relishes the opportunity of leading & mentoring individuals of multi-cultural backgrounds in achieving operational excellence. Boasting a proven track record of exceeding guest experience expectations, coupled with sound financial and business acumen.
